By joining our Summer Analyst Program, you'll become part of a team leading the charge in delivering strategic market and investment insights across J.P. Morgan's Institutional, Funds, and Private Banking businesses.
As a Summer Analyst on the Investment Strategy Team, you will gain hands-on experience and exposure to the world of investment strategy and market analysis. This includes manipulating, visualizing, and interpreting datasets, statistical modeling, and researching investment topics and economic indicators
Our nine-week program kicks off with a week of induction, where you'll have training and orientation to our businesses and gain the technical and practical knowledge you'll need to start contributing to our teams. Top performers may receive a full-time offer at the end of the summer.
Job responsibilities - Conduct comprehensive research on a wide array of economic and investment themes, maintaining awareness of global economic developments and financial markets to inform strategic decision-making.
- Analyze and interpret complex datasets to derive actionable insights that influence strategic investment choices.
- Apply statistical modelling techniques to evaluate market trends and economic indicators.
- Work closely with senior strategists to develop and publish insightful research reports and presentations.
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills: - Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree
- Graduation date of December 2025 through June 2026
- Attend college/university in the U.S.
- A demonstrated passion for investment research and analysis
- A keen interest in leading investment themes, particularly in areas such as AI and machine learning
- Proficiency in data visualization and the ability to manipulate unstructured datasets, with strong preference for experience using SQL, Tableau, Power BI, or similar software
- Coding experience, especially in Python, is highly desirable
- A solid understanding of investment instruments and market themes
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel
