The Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities team (GFICC) at J.P. Morgan Asset Management is one of the world's deepest and best-resourced fixed income managers, with expertise across all major fixed income sectors, including niche markets. Global Fixed Income, Currency and Commodities manages a broad range of strategies, through funds and/or separate accounts, including broad market, long duration, stable value, intermediate high yield, emerging market debt, short and ultra-short duration, global bonds, structured products, mortgages and tax-aware strategies.

Job Summary:

As a Management Associate within the Global Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (GFICC) team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Head of GFICC, GFICC COO, and the GFICC Operating Committee. You will focus on enhancing operational efficiencies and contributing to the expansion of business growth.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the Head of GFICC, GFICC COO and the GFICC Operating Committee on all administrative aspects of managing the global business, with a focus on increasing operating efficiencies and driving business growth
  • Develop a deep understanding of GFICC and proactively participate in development of strategic business initiatives
  • Coordinate agenda, presentations, and follow-ups for management team meetings, internal forums & town halls, management offsites, and select client meetings with an eye toward streamlining processes
  • Take a leadership role in high priority business initiatives to align stakeholders and drive efficient execution
  • Partner across the various GFICC teams and cross-functional partners (e.g., Marketing, Compliance, Legal, Risk, Technology, and Finance) to identify and execute on strategic business initiatives
  • Proactively propose new ideas on client opportunities, product development, business optimization, thought leadership, and strategy innovation

Required qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • 3+years of experience with proven track record of delivering complex projects, product and/or new business initiatives
  • Comfortable navigating ambiguity and has strong initiative, energy and analytical approach to completing projects with limited supervision
  • Ability to execute within a fast-paced and demanding environment, while managing multiple concurrent projects across different stakeholders (often with competing priorities)
  • Confidence and skill to think strategically, develop solutions, and present recommendations to business leaders
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to enable thoughtful discussions/decisions across internal stakeholders
  • Strong attention to detail is required
  • Demonstrates leadership and a winning attitude:
  • Proactive, accountable, and assertive; strong work ethic
  • Agile team player with the ability to work with diverse working styles on projects and coordinate resources effectively
  • Must possess strong emotional intelligence, with the ability to effectively partner and collaborate with various seniority levels within GFICC and across AM.
  • Superior judgment and discretion working with both confidential and sensitive information

Preferred qualifications, capabilities and skills
  • General understanding of asset management and financial markets, fixed income knowledge is a plus
