About the Opportunity

We are seeking a Field Service Technician II on behalf of one of our clients, a global leader in building automation, safety, and control technologies.

Working out of a customer facility in Albany, NY, you will report directly to the Service Manager and provide essential technical support for HVAC, fire alarm, and access control systems. In this role, you will apply troubleshooting and low-voltage electrical skills to maintain critical building infrastructure, ensuring safety, comfort, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • System Maintenance & Repair: Perform routine preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on HVAC, fire alarm, and access control systems.

  • Low-Voltage Diagnostics: Utilize basic control concepts and low-voltage electrical expertise to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.

  • Service Delivery: Collaborate with team members and facility personnel to ensure prompt, high-quality service delivery.

  • Safety & Compliance: Strict adherence to company safety procedures, operational policies, and regulatory guidelines during all field activities.

Candidate Qualifications

  • Experience / Education: 1 or more years of field service experience focused on HVAC, fire alarm, or access control systems OR a Technical Diploma/Degree in a related field.

  • Technical Skills: Foundational troubleshooting skills and working knowledge of low-voltage electrical systems.

  • Control Systems: Familiarity with basic building control systems and their operation.

  • Independence: Demonstrated ability to work independently and execute technical instructions accurately.

Preferred Attributes:

  • Prior experience with building automation or computerized control systems.

  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

  • Excellent teamwork and customer interaction skills.

Compensation & Benefits

The annual base salary range for this position is $43, 000 – $53, 700. Salary offers are determined based on individual qualifications, work experience, education, key skills, and market considerations.
