Placed right in the heart of the action the New York Hilton Midtown is looking for its next Sales Manager! This hotel offers 1, 878 elegantly appointed guestrooms and an impressive 150, 000 square feet of versatile event space. With 49 meeting rooms, including the largest ballroom spanning 21, 673 square feet, it's an ideal destination for conferences, conventions, and upscale gatherings in the heart of Manhattan.

Our ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in hotel group sales and a proven track record of motivation and performance. We're seeking someone with solid tenure in previous roles, demonstrating reliability and commitment. The right individual will be driven to exceed goals, build lasting client relationships, and thrive in a collaborative team environment.

This in-office role requires familiarity with the Wholesale FIT Market, Airline Crew, and International Sales-or the ability to quickly and effectively learn these segments to deliver results. The candidate should also work well with a sales partner to strategize and execute sales plans.

Shift Pattern: This role is primarily Monday - Friday 8: 30am - 5: 00pm with the ability to be flexible with their time to accommodate any client engagement events and site inspections.

Salary Range: Range for this position is $85, 000 - $90, 000.00 annually and will be aligned with the candidate's experience and qualifications. This role qualifies to be part of the Hilton Sales Incentive plan that is paid quarterly, based on performance.

What will I be doing?

As a Sales Manager, you would be responsible for representing the hotel's services and facilities to prospective clients and customers in the hotel's continuing effort to deliver outstanding guest service and financial profitability. Specifically, you would be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
  • Respond to sales inquiries from potential clients and customers seeking sleeping rooms, meeting space, food, and beverage services, etc.
  • Initiate new sales, prospect, and qualify leads and solicit potential clients
  • Host and entertain clients and maintain client accounts
  • Conduct property site visits and answer questions
  • Determine rates, prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, service accounts and analyze lost and potential business for the hotel.
  • Develop sales plans and strategies to meet or exceed revenue and room night goals
  • Partner with operations departments to ensure full participation in servicing accounts
