Job Summary:
The Senior Linux Administrator will be responsible for the successful maintenance and support of mission critical Linux and UNIX systems in a 24x7 highly virtualized environment. Responsibilities include, but not limited to systems management tasks, such as Operating System upgrades, patch maintenance, performance tuning, and Operating System hardening. In addition, the Senior Linux Administrator will be responsible for the monitoring of incoming service requests, incidents, and projects to ensure that they are completed in a timely and high quality manner. This position will work closely with other IT departments to guarantee reliable systems that meet the needs of the company.
The Senior Linux Administrator will be responsible for the successful maintenance and support of mission critical application and systems within a global 24x7 manufacturing and distribution environment. This role will focus predominantly on support, design, and implementation of the company's global Linux infrastructure. Provide technical advice on support requirements with 3rd party suppliers and technology partners for systems that the Senior Linux Administrator is responsible for. Budget indirectly in an advisory capacity. No direct reports.
