Job Summary:
The Area Sales Director is accountable for achieving revenue, profitability, market share, and customer engagement objectives through effective leadership, coaching, and execution. This individual creates a high-performance culture by developing Regional Sales Managers and their teams, strengthening organizational capabilities, and ensuring alignment with corporate strategy.
Success in this role requires strong business acumen, strategic thinking, financial management, talent development, and the ability to influence across multiple functions. The Area Sales Director serves as the senior commercial leader within the assigned geography and represents the organization with key customers, industry partners, and executive leadership.
The Area Sales Director develops regional business strategy, delivers sustainable revenue growth, builds organizational capability, and ensures consistent execution of national sales initiatives. Responsible for annual sales budget in excess of $300M, and leadership oversight of 60+ sales representatives and direct reports of 7+ Regional Sales Managers. This role is a key member of the US Sales leadership team, reports to the Vice President US Sales and partners cross-functionally with Marketing, Professional Affairs, Medical Affairs, Commercial Excellence, Customer Service, Finance, Supply Chain, and Corporate Account teams to maximize market share and customer satisfaction.
