The Sr Accountant will be a critical contributor to the financial close process and reporting for The Cooper Companies by participating in general accounting activities and daily operations of the Consolidations and Intercompany Accounting team in Victor, NY, primarily concentrating on the intercompany activities of Cooper Vision. The individual will be responsible for ensuring timely, accurate, and complete financial reporting of both CooperVision.
Job Summary:
The primary responsibilities of this position will largely be comprised of the accurate and timely reporting of CooperVision financials and related processes and deliverables. The position will be responsible for assisting with the production of accurate and timely reporting of monthly / quarterly / annual results at the group level and will be responsible for certain aspects of the financial accounting results through reconciliation and analysis. The position will also interface with Treasury, Tax, corporate, and regional Finance teams to facilitate various reporting and project requirements. The position is a key point of contact for local and regional finance teams, providing the guidance, support, and direction to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures and US GAAP reporting requirements. This role involves internal interaction and collaboration with all CSI domestic and international locations, as well as cross-functional groups including FP& A, tax, legal, HR and Treasury.
