Overnight Driver Trainer

Job Overview The Overnight Driver Trainer is responsible for onboarding, coaching, and supporting overnight delivery drivers to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality delivery operations. This role serves as a lead driver and subject matter expert for overnight deliveries, troubleshooting delivery issues in real time while helping develop new and underperforming drivers. Key Responsibilities Driver Training & Onboarding Train and mentor newly hired overnight driversConduct ride-alongs and hands-on route trainingTeach delivery procedures, safety standards, and customer service expectationsEnsure drivers understand delivery apps, scanning procedures, and route managementSupport new drivers through onboarding and transition into independent operation Delivery Operations Support Serve as the overnight point of contact for delivery-related issuesTroubleshoot problems including: Incorrect addressesLocked buildings or gate accessDelivery app issuesDelayed routesCustomer communication concernsVehicle or equipment issuesAssist drivers with route recovery and operational problem-solving Performance Coaching Work directly with underperforming drivers to improve delivery performanceConduct ride-along evaluations and provide constructive feedbackReinforce company standards, safety practices, and efficiency expectationsHelp drivers improve time management, accuracy, and professionalism Leadership & Accountability Lead by example through professionalism, reliability, and strong work ethicMaintain consistent communication with overnight operations managementDocument training progress, coaching sessions, and driver performance concernsPromote a positive and team-oriented overnight work environment Job Requirements Previous overnight delivery experience preferredStrong knowledge of delivery operations and troubleshooting proceduresExcellent communication and leadership skillsAbility to train and motivate othersReliable attendance and strong performance recordAbility to remain calm and professional under pressureValid drivers license with a clean driving record Work Environment Overnight / Night ShiftFull-time availability preferred
