The TeamA& M Tax is currently seeking Associate candidates to join our growing New York-based Transfer Pricing practice. Our Transfer Pricing team is seeking an energetic individual who is eager to develop skills in a rewarding area of consulting. Transfer pricing is a specialized area of international tax that applies economic analysis and analytic methods to the study of intercompany pricing. We assist our clients with the development of cross-border prices that meet strategic goals and comply with international tax and transfer pricing regulations. Our client base consists of multinational companies with business activities in a broad spectrum of industries.
How you will contributeAs a Transfer Pricing Associate, you will be a strategic team member for the delivery of transfer pricing services.
- Preparing economic analyses to appropriately price intercompany transactions
- Perform intellectual property valuations for tax and transfer pricing purposes
- Prepare business models, supply chain evaluations and future growth strategies for clients and "issue spot" or identify transfer pricing opportunities
- Assist with post-merger integration following a life event for a company
- Conduct transfer pricing specific due diligence for strategic and corporate buyers and sellers
- Assist with debt capacity and intercompany interest rate analyses
- Preparation of planning and compliance transfer pricing documentation
- Prepare thought leadership materials
- Work closely with teams across multiple disciplines (Corporate tax, international tax, transaction tax, tax supply chain restructuring)
Qualifications: - Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors: Bachelor's in accounting, economics, finance, statistics or mathematics
- Preferred: Degrees and/or areas of study: Master's degree in economics or finance, or definitive plans for meeting minimum educational requirements for CPA eligibility and licensure in the state of your assigned office location
- Prior internship or other experience in an advisory / consulting environment is a plus
- Strong writing, analytical, research, and organizational skills are critical
- A strong sense of personal motivation and integrity, as well as the ability to work well in a team environment are also key
- Strong Excel skills are preferred as financial analysis and modeling are at the heart of what we do
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced consulting environment and being open to seeking greater responsibility at early stages in career
- Foreign language knowledge is not a requirement, but can be a plus in working with multinational organizations from all over the world
- Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future. A& M will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role

Compensation StatementThe annual base salary is $90, 000, d ependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography . In addition, A& M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
Benefits SummaryFull-time Positions and Part-time Positions Over 30 hours
Regular employees working 30 or more hours per week are also entitled to participate in Alvarez & Marsal Holdings' fringe benefits consisting of healthcare plans, flexible spending and savings accounts, life, AD& D, and disability coverages at rates determined periodically as well as a 401(k)-retirement savings plan. Provided the eligibility requirements are met, employees will also receive an annual discretionary contribution to their 401(k)-retirement savings plan from Alvarez & Marsal. Additionally, employees are eligible for paid time off including vacation, personal days, seventy-two (72) hours of sick time (prorated for part time employees), ten federal holidays, one floating holiday, and parental leave.
