Summer Interns will join a client service team and contribute to workstreams to help solve some of the most pressing challenges our clients face. The work will combine research, analyzing data, conducting interviews, and brainstorming to generate fresh insights and deliver solutions that matter. Our Summer Interns will be involved in assessing the client's current situation; designing solutions involving people, process, and technological dimensions; and creating and implementing action plans that drive lasting change. Candidates must be highly motivated, eager to contribute and learn, able to meet deadlines, and adaptable to various assignments, systems, and tools. Some travel may be required.

- Manage crises, stabilizing and transforming government agencies.

- Identify and implement operational improvements, modernizing and streamlining operations.
- Guide transformation and innovation initiatives to unlock opportunities for improved constituent services at lower cost.
QualificationsA& M PSS is seeking intern applicants for Summer 2026 based in Washington, DC and Seattle, WA. The summer analyst program is a paid opportunity that lasts 8-10 weeks and typically begins in early June and ends in early/mid-August (dates will be provided upon candidate's selection, with an expectation of full participation).
- Possess excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills, structuring and organizing ambiguous problems, tasks, and information
- Demonstrable teaming skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, contributing to decision making based on data, facts, and logical reasoning
- Demonstrated leadership ability
- Ability to deal with ambiguity and willingness to learn
- Strong quantitative skills, demonstrated through work experience and/or coursework (see preferred degree/major list below)
- Minimum 3.2 GPA required, both major and overall
- Must be enrolled in an accredited college or university and pursuing the following degrees/majors (all majors considered with preference for the degrees/majors listed below):
- Accounting
- Business
- Computer Science
- Economics
- Finance
- Government
- Mathematics
- Public Administration
- Graduation date between December 2026 and June 2027
- Comfortable with some travel
- Must be authorized to work in the US without the need for employment-based sponsorship now or in the future. A& M will not sponsor applicants for US work visa status for this role. In addition, as part of our application process applicants will be subject to a pre-employment and reference investigation.
Demonstrate a proficient level of experience with a number of the following areas:
- Extract useful information from large sets of unorganized or incomplete data, including financial performance data
- Use Excel and other MS Office programs as the primary tool to perform analysis and present conclusions.
- Able to contextualize tasks within a baseline understanding of macro issues concerning K-12 education, higher education, workforce development, state & local governance, and/or health and human services.
- Able to demonstrate thoughtfulness, objectivity, professionalism, and empathy in all aspects of work.
- Able to work independently, meet deadlines, and handle multiple tasks concurrently.

The hourly range is $35.00 to $40.00 per hour, commensurate with experience.
