We combine strategic and operational expertise with a deep technical knowledge to support developers, sponsors and lenders to select, structure, improve and execute capital projects in a more efficient and sustainable way.
To support our expansion, we are seeking Senior Associates and Managers to join our fast-growing Power Market Analytics team. This role is ideal for experienced modelers and consultants looking to step into a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where impact is immediate and career growth is a given.
The Opportunity:
This role offers a unique opportunity to be at the forefront of the dynamic energy and power sector supporting clients with data-driven insights that guide investment and strategic decisions across power generation, transmission, and emerging technologies. You'll work alongside industry experts to build and power systems market, nodal, and capacity models-translating complex market dynamics into actionable intelligence for our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize production simulation models and tools to conduct economic studies
- Ability to utilize models to run security-constrained economic dispatch modeling including post processing data
- Undertake load forecasting utilizing industry standard methods.
- Research and understand electric power rates (transmission, wholesale, retail) and regulatory in key markets within the US
- Ability to use python coding for automation is considered highly favorable
- Collaborate closely with other consultants and project managers to support client engagements including capital projects, due diligence, deal and transaction advisory.
- Assist in developing deliverables, including client presentations and internal reports.
- Take initiative to explore new tools, methodologies, and techniques to improve data workflows and analysis.
- Ensure accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of all project-related data.
Qualifications:
- Relevant degree in economics, engineering, mathematics, statistics, computer science, business analytics, or a related field;
- Experience in consulting is required.
- 2-to-7 years of relevant experience.
- Experience supporting or participating in business development efforts (e.g., proposals, client targeting, account management).
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
The salary range is $130, 000 - $160, 000 annually, dependent on several variables including but not limited to education, experience, skills, and geography. In addition, A& M offers a discretionary bonus program which is based on a number of factors, including individual and firm performance. Please ask your recruiter for details.
