For our location in Ratingen/Düsseldorf we are looking for a Senior Tax Manager (f/m/d) for the regions of Germany, Austria and Switzerland (DACH) to replace our current Tax Director during maternity leave.

In this temporary position you will report to the global tax department and work in close coordination with the local finance departments and the different business units in the region. You will assess and analyze national and international transactions involving the various Schneider Electric companies regarding all tax issues.

Your IMPACT

  • Implement and monitor application of group tax policies and procedures within the covered region
  • Day-to-day tax support and advisory to business in covered region
  • Support and consult application of transfer pricing policies & procedures, tax audits and projects with international tax implications
  • Support and monitor group tax reporting
  • Partner with key Schneider functions (Legal, M& A, Accounting, Treasury, Government Affairs) to provide consulting support and enhance communication to achieve Tax Department objectives
  • Establish solid communication and working relationship with Global Tax Department with regards to Tax/Finance projects
  • Coordinate and assess tax changes and developments potentially affecting tax profile

Your profile

  • Completed university degree in business administration, finance law or a comparable degree with a focus on tax law
  • Several years of relevant professional experience in a comparable function, preferably in an internationally operating company, tax consultancy or law firm
  • In depth knowledge on the principles of corporate taxation and international taxation as well as transfer pricing and tax audits
  • Familiarity with EU tax legislation and global tax initiatives (e.g. OECD actions such as BEPS, Pilar 2)
  • Strong organizational, communication and writing skills and ability to manage others and demonstrate leadership
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, familiarity of ERP systems is a plus
  • Fluency in German and English
