The Application Programming Interfaces Center of Excellence (API CoE) helps DHL Group to accelerate growth by providing customers and partners with best-in-class digital connectivity and interoperability of processes and data. Following core principles of “API-first”, top-notch uptime and superior security, we are building interfaces for core logistics processes of shipping, tracking and locations, next to group-wide API platforms like our API Gateway and the API Developer Portal.

Your tasks as IT Product Owner – API Developer Portal

• Act as SCRUM IT Product Owner, e.g., for the Group API Developer Portal.
• Define a product roadmap and drive the development team to realize it.
• Guide teams to achieve best-in-class APIs and developer experience.
• Contribute to architecture design and be technical sparring partner for developer teams.
• Nurture trustful relationships with stakeholders, software vendors and developer teams.
• Support teams to expose their documentation and to enable customer onboarding.

Your profile

• Experience with REST APIs and API documentation standards, e.g., Open API Specification.
• Experience with API design and testing tools, e.g., SwaggerHub.
• Strong understanding of agile methodologies, e.g., SCRUM.
• Solid understanding of software development processes and technologies, e.g., git.
• Ability to analyze data, identify challenges and propose effective solutions.
• Very good communication, moderation, and presentation skills.
• Positive “do" attitude towards work in complex, international environments with uncertainty.
• Very good written and spoken English, knowledge of German is a plus.
• University degree or equivalent, e.g., information technology or related.
