Job Description: Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientists to bring skilled technical support to our specialty blood component manufacturing/high complexity testing reference laboratories. As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to- Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and cross match.(Ref Lab)
- Perform production, processing, and labeling of blood components and blood donations (Manu Lab)
- Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
- Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
- Receive coaching, encouragement, and support from caring managers who are invested in your career and success.
- Bachelor's degree in chemical, physical, biological, medical technology or clinical laboratory science required.
- Certification as a Medical Technologist/MLS/BB from an accredited agency or CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required.
- State licensure as required by regulations.
- Minimum two years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting or Blood Banking certification required.
