Job Description

Haws Corporation is hiring a Engineering Intern in Sparks, NV. This is a full-time position.

Job Functions: Assist Project Engineering staff with new product development projects, product updates and cost-out initiatives. Accountabilities: Planning and execution of new product development projects implementing product updates maintaining product documentation Executing Engineering Change Orders Other Job Duties: Plans, develops, implements, and ensures execution of projects and individual goals. Collaborates with other Engineers and staff to maximize project success. Reports project progress, status, and issues to lead or project management and other stakeholders, escalating issues for resolution as necessary. Follows Haws Commercialization Process to execute projects and develop high-impact products. Ability to analyze problems, develop a problem statement, and create commercially viable solutions. Understand and comply with applicable regulatory requirements for each product or project. All other duties as assigned. Computer Skills: Strong CAD skills with proficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD or DraftSight (preferred). Competence is Microsoft Office is required. Understanding of PDM, FEA, and inventory management software is a plus. Education and/or Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in a University or Community College. Preferably working towards a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of one year of college in Mechanical Engineering degree program, or equivalent combination of education, training and experience Language Skills: The ability to read, analyze and interpret technical manuals and procedures. Ability to write business correspondence and procedures. Must be able to speak, read, and write English. Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense thinking to a wide range of practical problems. Ability to analyze and solve problems. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions in verbal, written or diagram form.
