Description:
The Project Manager is responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of industrial construction projects. This position integrates project management oversight with on-site leadership, ensuring all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with design specifications, budget, and schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, budget, and manage industrial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.
- Coordinate with owners, engineers, and subcontractors to keep projects on schedule and within budget.
- Oversee field operations, site safety, and subcontractor performance.
- Coordinate with Purchasing for procurement of materials and equipment, including long-lead industrial components.
- Review plans, drawings, and specifications to ensure compliance and quality.
- Prepare progress reports, track costs, and manage changes.
- Enforce OSHA and site-specific safety standards.
- Ensure city permits are submitted and all projects comply with city requirements.
- Identify and implement cost-reduction strategies without compromising quality or safety.
- Optimize resource allocation and improve efficiency to reduce project expenses.
- Analyze project workflows to eliminate waste and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil/Industrial Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5+ years’ experience in industrial, heavy civil, or large commercial projects (manufacturing, processing, warehouse, or utilities preferred).
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and process systems.
- Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, scheduling, and cost control.
- Proficiency in MS Project.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Excellent leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills.
