Purpose:

Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, Family Care & Professional (IFP) the Supply Lead is tasked to ensure an optimum supply of product to deliver to agreed customer service level targets whilst optimising inventory levels.

This is a newly created position based in our North Sydney office.

Job Description

  • Analyzing historical sales data, market trends, and customer demand to create accurate forecasts, Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to incorporate promotional activities and market intelligence into forecasts

  • Optimizing inventory levels to balance supply and demand, minimize carrying costs, and avoid stockouts or excess inventory. Setting safety stock levels and reorder points based on demand variability and lead times

  • Developing production schedules to meet demand forecasts while maximizing manufacturing efficiency and minimizing costs. Coordinating with manufacturing teams to ensure production capacity aligns with demand plans

  • Implement and continuously improving supply chain processes and systems to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and responsiveness

  • Analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and drive supply chain performance

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role, ideally with FMCG experience and an organisation that manufactures domestically

  • Strong ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions. Proficiency with forecasting and inventory management software and tools

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills to facilitate collaboration across departments. Ability to present complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Strong problem-solving skills to address supply chain disruptions, inventory issues, and process inefficiencies. Capability to develop and implement contingency plans and corrective actions

  • Proven leadership skills to manage and inspire a team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability. Ability to influence and drive change within the organization

  • Hands-on experience leading S& OP processes, including demand planning, supply planning, and integrated business planning. Track record of successfully managing S& OP cycles and delivering aligned business plans

  • Experience implementing and driving continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain

  • Ability to think strategically and align supply chain initiatives with overall business goals. Forward-thinking approach to anticipate and prepare for future challenges and opportunities.

  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions, customer requirements, and internal priorities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

  • Strong team player with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships across the organization

  • Skilled in fostering a collaborative work environment and driving team performance
