THE OPPORTUNITY

We’re an environment geared for growth and innovation here at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care. We have an exciting opportunity for a capable Professional Development Associate to join our fun, close-knit and agile team. In this role you’ll be focused on executing Professional Education and Development strategies in line with our country business objectives. You’ll be encouraged to share your talents and expertise to drive Johnson & Johnson Vision’s Eye Health Agenda. You will also be accountable for ensuring the success of new product launches by supporting new product development programs, processes, clinical claims and ECP adoption programs. This is a full-time, 12 month fixed-term contract based in Sydney, NSW.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with Eye Care Professionals and differentiate their practice through delivering best-in-class contact lens fitting education and training
  • Shape the eye health strategy, partnering with professional associations and Eye Care Professionals.
  • Develop and Execute Professional strategy in line with country overall business objectives.
  • Manage partnerships with Industry Associations, Academic Institutions, business owners, senior management, key customer accounts and key opinion leaders in shaping the professional environment and raising primary eye care standards
  • Develop where relevant education materials, tool kits, case studies, trials and ensure strong representation in professional publications along with independent speakers briefed to support new product launches
  • Contribute to local Copy Clearance process to ensure all technical/clinical information in Johnson & Johnson Vision materials are factually correct and claims are fully substantiated for both internal and external communications
  • Provide support to local, regional and global quality and regulatory functions to maintain highest levels of compliance and end-consumer experience

ABOUT YOU

  • Passionate, contact lens experienced Optometrist (approx. 5 years clinical experience preferred)
  • Advanced optometry clinical/technical knowledge of contact lens fitting
  • Clinical understanding of the Patient Eye Health Journey
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding presentation & training skills
  • Analytical & problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to lead projects
  • Good understanding of the Optometry and Ophthalmology profession
  • Able to execute professional strategies that are aligned with country business objectives
  • Develop & maintain relationships with key stakeholders across country and region
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong ethics and objectivity
