EVT is hiring!
Description:
The Thredbo wastewater treatment plant (WTP) treats all wastewater from Thredbo Village. The system is largely a gravity system whereby wastewater flows from the various properties to the WTP via the wastewater collection system with three small pump stations in the system. The WTP is a tertiary “activated sludge” plant with tertiary filtration and ultra-violet disinfection of the effluent prior to discharge into the Thredbo River. The Thredbo potable water supply system provides treated water to the Village, including the fire supply.
The Assistant WTP operator reports to the environmental services Water and Wastewater Manager. The operator is regularly required to assist in general environmental services department duties as required.
