This position is responsible for all aspects of conference and events sales operations. The role will focus on overseeing and managing all aspects of the Hotel’s conference and events activities. The position will contribute to the selling strategy of the hotel with a view to maximising all conference and events revenue by identifying innovative ways to convert business and developing strong relationships with clients.

Key Responsibilities

• To understand competition and market trends and develop and implement strategies to ensure the hotel is competitive in every opportunity.
• In conjunction with the Food and Beverage Manager and Business Development Manager identify new sources of residential, sporting groups and adventure conferencing / special events / group bookings.
• To supervise to ensure effective performance and high-quality service to clients and pro-active selling of the Hotel’s products.
• To facilitate and attend networking events, famils, site inspections, conferences and internal showcase events.
• Lead the transition from sales to operations, ensuring clear communication, accountability, and flawless execution of all events

Skills & Experience

• 3+ years’ experience in a Conference & Events leadership role
• 5+ years supervising and managing a team
• Strong communication and conflict resolution skills
• Strong customer service knowledge
• Proficiency in iVvy Event Software Program and Opera.
