About the Role

Join the Gowings team as a Sommelier and bring the venue’s wine philosophy to life by executing the program defined by the Group Director of Beverage while adding your own creative flair to elevate the guest experience. In collaboration with the Restaurant Manager, you will also support day‑to‑day operational and staffing needs, upholding the highest standards of professionalism, consistency, and excellence.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience working as a Sommelier in a restaurant, hotel or wine bar.
• Good overall wine knowledge with the ability to recommend and guide guests and upsell products.
• Strong overall beverage knowledge across spirits, beers and wines.
• Personable, enjoy working in a busy environment and engaging with guests.
• Good communication, a team player and attention to detail.
• Adaptable and the ability to multi-task and anticipate the guests needs.
• Enjoy working in a hotel environment and have flexibility to support different outlets.
