We are looking for enthusiastic and service-focused Food & Beverage Attendants who thrive in a fast-paced events environment and enjoy creating memorable guest experiences in a casual capacity.

About the role

The Conference & Events Food & Beverage Attendant plays a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive top-notch service and have a memorable experience. You are responsible for delivering exceptional food and beverage service across a wide range of events, including conferences, exhibitions, corporate functions, gala dinners, and special events. The role involves setting up event spaces, serving food and beverages, maintaining presentation standards, and ensuring guests receive a professional, friendly, and efficient service experience.

Key Responsibilities

Your day to day:

• Provide professional food and beverage service during conferences, meetings, exhibitions, and special events.
• Prepare and set up function rooms, catering stations, and event spaces in accordance with event requirements.
• Serve food, beverages, and refreshments efficiently and courteously.
• Maintain cleanliness and presentation of service areas before, during, and after events.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve service issues in a professional manner.
• Support event operations through room resets, pack-downs, and equipment handling.
• Adhere to food safety, liquor licensing, workplace health and safety, and organisational policies.
• Work collaboratively with kitchen, events, and operations teams to ensure successful event delivery.
• Assist with stock replenishment, inventory control, and equipment maintenance as required.
• Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills & Experience

• Having previous experience in a similar role at a high-volume venue is desirable but not essential.
• A positive attitude and a broad smile!
• A team player to help each other out!
• Enjoy engaging in 'hands-on' activities.
• Exceptional customer service skills with a temperament to match.
• Passion for the industry
• To work in Australia, one must either be an Australian resident or possess the necessary working rights.
• The capability to work mornings & evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Current RSA or willingness to obtain.
• Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training will be provided).
