We are seeking a reliable and knowledgeable Casual Gardener to maintain and enhance the appearance and health of gardens, lawns, and landscaped areas to join the hotel greenkeeping team.

About the role
Reporting into the Assistant Superintendent, you must enjoy working around people and be able to communicate easily and confidently. You will maintain and develop the property’s grounds and gardens to a very high standard, as part of the Greenkeeping team.

This is not your regular resort style role your duties will include but will not be limited to the golf course, resort grounds, purpose built Equestrian centre, solar farms, driving range.

Your role as a Gardener you will be responsible for maintaining gardens and turf areas, planting, fertilising, irrigating, weeding, fertilizing and pruning, and general upkeep of plants and outdoor spaces to ensure they remain attractive and healthy year-round; as well as operating and maintaining tools, equipment and machinery.


Skills and experience
• Unrestricted Driver’s Licence
• Gardening and maintenance experience and/or Certificate 3 in Horticulture – Sports Turf Management preferred but not essential
• Experience and knowledge of chemical and fertilizer application
• Ride on mower and/or tractor skills advantageous
• Be skilled at and enjoy maintaining gardens and grounds to a consistently high standard
• Strong team player, able to work safely, independently, make decisions and show initiative
• Be self-motivated and punctual
• Good communication skills and an eye for detail
• Professional approach and positive attitude and work ethic
• Ability to follow systems, procedures & safety standards
• Ability to perform at a medium-high level of physical requirement
• Flexibility to work throughout the week – this role is also required to work weekends
• This is a physically demanding position involving the operation of tools and machinery
• Must have the legal right to work in Australia
