We are currently seeking a full-time Accounts Clerk to join our hotel Finance team on a 12-month parental leave cover contract.

In this role, you will provide essential financial and administrative support, including processing invoices, reconciling accounts, managing daily transactions, and maintaining accurate records. This is a great opportunity to be part of a supportive finance team, ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel’s financial processes.
• Complete all reconciliations of the accounts receivable tasks, including but not limited to: AR settlements, creating invoices, Posting deposits & Stripe payments and Posting bank statements.
• Complete the Credit Card Reconciliation on a daily basis.
• Maintain minimal balances on the PM ledger & chase for closure of open folios.
• Reconcile all cash, follow up for any variances and complete the banking.
• Complete and reconcile the Food & Beverage departments’ tips.
• Complete and reconcile the Petty cash.
• Complete the tracker for Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) for Food & Beverage.
• Support with areas of the accounts payable processes, including but not limited to: credit applications, purchase & invoice system reconciliation and supplier statement reconciliation.
• Complete and assist with month end tasks, including but not limited to: Revenue reconciliation, accruals, Food/Beverage stocktakes, Float audits and Conference control audits.
• To assist other members of the Finance Department when necessary.
• To attend all scheduled meetings.
• To perform any other duties as directed by the Finance & Business Support Manager/Director.

Skills and Experience:
• Minimum 12 months’ experience in both accounts payable & receivable
• Good understanding of accounting processes and across both accounts payable & receivable
• Experience with computerised accounting systems
• Strong documentation and record-keeping skills
• Sound knowledge of MS Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Intermediate Excel skills will be highly regarded.
• A positive, team-focused attitude and attention to detail
