About the Role:
Join the team at Gowings as the Food & Beverage Attendant and play a crucial role in ensuring our guests receive top-notch service and have a memorable experience. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere whether it is at the bar, in the restaurant, room service, conferencing and/or events.

Key Responsibilities:

• Warmly welcome and seat guests, knowledgeably describe menu items, accurately take orders (noting any dietary needs), and proactively upsell specials and beverages to enhance the dining experience.
• Promptly deliver food and drinks to standard, regularly check on diners for satisfaction, and swiftly address any requests or concerns.
• Ensure precise communication with the kitchen team to guarantee correct order preparation and timely delivery.
• Accurately present bills and process all forms of payment.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and properly stocked service area at all times, including clearing and resetting tables efficiently.
• Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and hygiene protocols, and be available to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience in a similar role.
• Proven knowledge of food and beverage items, including wine and cocktails (training will be provided).
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
