About the Role:

To ensure the back of house areas are maintained in and orderly, attractive and clean manner and to meet the expectations of the Hotel’s guests.

Key Responsibilities:

• Anticipates and attend to the guest’s needs and desires.
• Ensures that all floors/storage areas have a good supply of linen.
• Collects all soiled linen and rubbish bags from all working floors and transfers to correct area.
• Collects and places dirty linen in the proper area in preparation of laundry pick up.
• Collects all guest laundry and dry cleaning, ensuring that all room numbers are clearly marked.
• Ensures all service areas are fully stocked, clean and tidy.
• Reports to the Supervisor any maintenance needing attention.
• Takes extreme care with personal grooming in order to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance.
• Reports any potential health and safety hazards to the Supervisor.
• Greets Hotel guests in a polite and courteous manner being careful not to confuse friendliness with familiarity.
• Attends monthly departmental communication, training and information meetings.
• Has a full knowledge of, and practices all of the Hotel’s established workplace health and safety guidelines (WH& S).
• Gives assistance to other departments or outlets when required.
