About the Role
The Organisational Learning Lead plays an important role in optimising the organisation’s learning management system (LMS), enhancing the quality and accessibility of learning offerings, and ensuring learning initiatives are aligned with organisational goals and workforce capability needs. This role combines technical expertise in LMS administration and eLearning tools with insight in learner engagement and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. LMS Administration and Optimisation
- Lead the maintenance and optimisation of the LMS to ensure functionality, efficiency, and user accessibility.
- Manage end-to-end LMS operations including user accounts, content assignments, reporting, compliance tracking, and troubleshooting with internal and external stakeholders.
- Provide user support and training for employees, managers, and trainers on LMS navigation and use.
- Integrate third-party systems or AI tools into the LMS where applicable.
- Maintain data integrity within LMS and across integrated third-party systems.
- Monitor LMS analytics to inform improvements and ensure high learner engagement and course completion rates.
- Monitor learning metrics to inform broader People and Culture (P& C) analytic insights.
2. Learning Content Management & Development
- Update and maintain existing online training packages to ensure they remain current, engaging and aligned with EVT standards.
- Maintain a scalable and sustainable digital learning content library, ensuring all materials meet accessibility and user experience standards.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to translate traditional training content into digital formats.
- Apply AI tools to automate repetitive design or delivery of design to streamline content generation and personalise learning.
3. Learning Evaluation & Continuous Improvement
- Evaluate training courses regularly using learner feedback, performance data and business outcomes to assess effectiveness and relevance.
- Apply insights from evaluations to improve course design, delivery and alignment with EVT needs.
- Employ iterative and adaptive learning solutions based on learner feedback and behavioural data.
4. Stakeholder Engagement & Support
- Collaborate with business leaders, SMEs and P& C to align digital learning with current and emerging skill requirements.
- Provide expert advice on scalable best-practice learning design and deployment strategies to maximise impact and learner uptake.
- Create support materials (e.g., how-to-guides, FAQS) and training for employees to improve their confidence and independence in using the LMS and learning tools.
- Educate stakeholders on emerging tech in L& D and their practical applications.
5. Learning Induction ownership
- Own the online induction suite for new starters across all brands ensuring currency in business practice and brand alignment.
Skills & Experience
- Experience as a Learning and LMS specialist working in complex and matrixed organisations.
- Proven experience in managing end to end LMS administration.
- Expertise in learning design and evaluation.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to influence across all organisational levels.
- A proactive problem-solver, always eager to tackle challenges head-on.
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience in applying AI for generating learning content, expertise in e-learning authoring tools and LMS/LXP platforms.
Qualifications
- Tertiary qualifications in Education Technology, Instructional Design, Organisational Development, Human Resources or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certifications in LMS administration or eLearning authoring tools (desirable).
