Key Responsibilities

Property & Leasing

• Property and leasing matters including drafting, reviewing and advising on leases, transfers, licences, letting appointments and deeds.
• Electronic property transactions including overseeing and liaising with the legal services agency on conducting title searches, preparation of stamp duty forms, registration with NSW Land Registry Services (LRS) and dealing with requisitions from LRS.
• Construction and development matters including drafting, reviewing and advising on construction contracts, letters of engagement, maintenance services contracts and service agreements.
• Assisting with business sale and purchase transactions, including drafting and reviewing of sale and purchase contracts and reviewing due diligence materials.

Commercial

• Preparing confidentiality agreements, term sheets and memorandums of understanding.
• Drafting, reviewing and advising on a wide range of commercial agreements including sponsorship, marketing, advertising, procurement, consultancy, IT and venue hire contracts.
• Assisting with the preparation and negotiation of hotel management and hotel brand licensing agreements.
• Drafting competition T& Cs and reviewing and advising on marketing materials.
• Advising on liquor licence matters.
• Assisting with intellectual property and trade mark matters.
• Assisting with public liability claims including preparing deeds of release.

Corporate

• Updating company templates and precedents.
• Assisting with updating board reports and preparing sign off memos to company directors.
• Assisting with the review and update of company policies.
