Title: Housekeeping Supervisor
Position Overview:
To supervise the service of Hotel’s rooms in accordance with the established standards, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and providing our Guests with the very best service in a clean healthy environment.

Key Accountabilities
- Anticipates and attend to the guest’s needs and desires immediately.
- Services and cleans allocated rooms to the highest standards within the allocated time
- Replenishes and controls Guest supplies.
- Balances team working schedules to maintain and improve the economy and productivity of the Housekeeping Department.
- Monitors daily attendance, time keeping, sick leave and annual holidays.
- Supervises and trains Room and Uniform Attendants, Housepersons and Public Area Cleaners.
- Checks each floor report and places in order for each Attendant to use that day.
- Checks all rooms as Attendants report them clean.
- Collects report sheets and enters into computer as clean, vacant or occupied.
- Liaise closely with Reception regarding any changes or specials.
- Reports any potential health and safety hazards to the Health and Safety Officer.
- Ensures all team members are familiar with Hotel policies and the Team Handbook.
- Ensures that good standards are maintained and that safety is to the highest priority.
- Responsible for the management of the Housekeeping Department in the Executive Housekeepers absence.
- Creates a congenial work environment for all team members ensuring high levels of morale.
- Takes extreme care with personal grooming to maintain a consistently high level of professional appearance.
- Greets each guest in a polite and courteous manner being careful not to confuse friendliness with familiarity.
- Attends departmental communication, training and information meetings.
- Complies with all of the Hotel’s standard operational policies and procedures as outlined in the Team Handbook.
- Has a full knowledge of, and practices all of the Hotel’s established workplace health and safety guidelines (WH& S).
- Gives assistance to other departments or outlets when required.
- Carries out other duties as directed by the Executive Housekeeper.
- Flexible to fulfill all different shifts allocated: e.g. opening, losing and middle sift
- Ability to coach team members
