About the Role

As a Full-Time Housekeeping Supervisor at Rydges Sydney Airport, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering our signature luxury experience. You’ll be responsible for overseeing the servicing of hotel rooms in line with our established standards, ensuring an exceptional level of cleanliness and presentation. With a keen eye for detail and a passion for creating a healthy, welcoming environment, you’ll lead by example—supporting and guiding the housekeeping team to provide our guests with the very best in comfort and care. Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise and support the housekeeping team to ensure rooms and public areas are cleaned to the highest standards within allocated timeframes.
  • Train and guide Room Attendants, Housepersons, and Public Area Cleaners to uphold service excellence.
  • Conduct room inspections and manage reporting systems to ensure accuracy in room status updates.
  • Liaise with reception to coordinate room changes, special requests, and guest needs.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and WH& S guidelines.
  • Maintain inventory and control of guest supplies and amenities.
  • Promote a positive team culture, fostering high morale and a congenial work environment.
  • Act as department lead in the absence of the Executive Housekeeper.
  • Attend departmental meetings and contribute to ongoing communication and training initiatives

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in housekeeping supervision within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and train staff.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Solid understanding of workplace health and safety (WH& S) practices and hotel policies.
  • Effective communication and coordination skills, especially with front office and other departments.
  • Proficient in managing schedules, room status reporting, and inventory control systems.
