About the Role

At Ode Hotels, we celebrate design, detail, and heritage. As our full-time Maintenance Handyperson, you’ll play a vital role in preserving the charm and functionality of our unique spaces for guests to enjoy. Your work will ensure that The Old Clare Hotel and Harbour Rocks Hotel remain well-maintained, safe, and inspiring. Duties across both hotels will primarily involve general maintenance, repair work, and painting as required throughout the hotels.

Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Perform general maintenance tasks, including minor repairs, painting and plumbing.
• Inspect and maintain hotel interiors and exteriors to uphold the highest standards of quality and appearance.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, ensuring minimal disruption to guests and hotel operations.
• Reporting to the team leader while also having the ability to work unsupervised.

Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in general maintenance, with a background in painting, plumbing, electrical, or carpentry preferred.
• An eye for detail and design, ensuring all repairs and finishes align with the character of each space.
• Strong problem-solving and organizational skills, with the ability to manage time and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Relevant trade qualifications or hands-on experience in maintenance, painting, or related fields.
• This role will require you to use public transport to travel between locations if required.
