Gather Hunter Valley is our excitingly fresh new restaurant concept that has arrived in the heart of wine country, setting a new benchmark for relaxed, quality dining in the region with a refreshed look and feel, giving guests a revitalised start or end to their day.
In the morning wake up to a boundless breakfast buffet in Gather and in the evening, Gather offers a relaxed, produce-led menu that celebrates the region’s best. Think premium cuts cooked over flame, seasonal sides, and ingredients sourced from trusted local suppliers. The space has been relaunched to feel inviting and social, perfect for casual dinners, private events, and everything in between. Introducing two private dining rooms: Gather North and Gather West. These spaces are ideal for group celebrations or intimate gatherings, offering the same culinary philosophy and atmosphere as the main restaurant, with added privacy and flexibility.

About the role:
Reporting to the Restaurant Manager, you will be a passionate and polished front-of-house professional, dedicated to delivering refined, unforgettable guest experiences.
• Deliver warm, attentive service that capture the bold, inviting spirit of a Hunter steakhouse, from first greeting to final farewells, creating a memorable and satisfying dining experience
• Create a welcoming and tailored presentation of the dining room, ensuring every detail contributes to the immersive ambiance
• Cultivate genuine relationships with guests and regular patrons, fostering loyalty and a sense of connection
• Collaborate seamlessly with the kitchen and bar team to ensure flawless service delivery and timing
• Serve as an ambassador for guest satisfaction, actively engaging with feedback to continually enhance the dining experience
• Flexibility in work schedule, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Skills & Experience
These are the desired skills and experience for this role:
• Previous experience in a restaurant environment
• A genuine passion for local food and wine
• Foundational wine knowledge
• Impeccable presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills
• A strong commitment to delivering refined, attentive service with poise and professionalism
• RSA certification and the right to work in Australia
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift heavy items.
