As our Director of Conference Sales, you will make QT the place to hold your event! Leading all C& E sales operations with a strong focus on revenue growth, accurate forecasting, and developing creative strategies to convert enquiries and elevate our selling approach.

Working hand in hand with Revenue, Sales, and Operational teams, you’ll shape a seamless guest journey from first contact to final checkout. Your relationship building skills, commercial mindset, and passion for exceptional service will ensure every event is memorable—and every client feels valued.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all conference and events sales, maximising yield and conversion.
  • Analyse business plans and proactively address gaps to meet revenue targets.
  • Foster strong relationships with key industry partners and corporate clients within allocated area of responsibility.
  • Contribute to budgeting and forecasting for C& E revenue streams.
  • Monitor competitors and market trends to develop strategies that maintain strong hotel competitiveness.
  • Ensure accurate booking data, including agent and company productivity, channels, and source codes.
  • Support leadership in sourcing new conference, event, and group business opportunities.
  • Facilitate networking events, site inspections, internal showcases, and assist with special event operations.
  • Drive interdepartmental communication, efficient meeting coordination, and timely follow‑ups to secure repeat business.
  • Lead departmental operations including enquiry turnaround, quoting, contracting, BEO accuracy, staffing rosters, compliance, and asset management.
  • Recruit, train, develop and motivate conference staff while maintaining high morale, service standards, and consistent client‑focused performance outcomes.

Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of previous experience in similar senior C& E role ideally coming from the Hotels or Event companies.
  • Ability to analyse business plans, identify gaps, and implement proactive sales strategies.
  • Strong understanding of market trends and competitor activity to drive commercial success.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
  • Proficient in event systems (e.g. iVvy), with a focus on accuracy in quoting, contracting, and reporting.
  • Demonstrated leadership in team development, training, and performance management.
  • Skilled in coordinating cross-departmental operations to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Guest-focused mindset with a passion for service excellence and continuous improvement.
