About the Role

As Conference & Events Sales Exec, you’ll support the C& E manager in driving the success of the department and achieving results. This role focuses driving productivity and profitability, revieing and assessing the training of C& E staff and growing revenue streams. You’ll play a key role in shaping the hotel’s selling strategy by identifying creative ways to convert enquiries and building lasting relationships with clients. Working closely with the other departments, creating a seamless journey for every guest.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and supervise the Conference & Events team to ensure high productivity, service excellence, and operational efficiency.
  • Support the Conference & Events Manager by proactively managing departmental tasks and stepping into vacant roles when needed.
  • Oversee training and development initiatives, including onboarding, ongoing skills assessment, and maintenance of training materials.
  • Drive enquiry and booking accuracy while ensuring fast turnaround and high service standards across all client interactions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless execution of conferences and events, maintaining guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor and report on group bookings, occupancy, and revenue trends, contributing to strategic planning and forecasting.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with industry representatives and actively promote loyalty programs and hotel offerings.
  • Uphold compliance with hotel policies and procedures while identifying opportunities to enhance profitability and team performance

Skills & Experience

  • 1-2 years of previous experience in similar role ideally coming from the Hotels or Event companies.
  • Experience in coordinating and managing end-to-end conference and event sales, with a strong focus on yield management and revenue growth.
  • Skilled in designing and delivering training programs, tracking development progress, and maintaining up-to-date training resources.
  • Demonstrated success in building strong industry relationships and promoting loyalty programs to enhance client engagement and retention.
  • Adept at cross-functional collaboration, reporting, and strategic planning to support smooth event execution and drive departmental profitability.
