Key Responsibilities

Key Accountabilities

  • Qualify incoming enquiries with 2 hours and issue all quotes within a maximum of 24hrs from initial receipt of enquiry.
  • Prepare proposals and personalise to client requirements utilising Ivvy
  • Ensure all enquiries are followed up within 24 hrs of being sent and sales activities are tracked using Tasks feature in Ivvy
  • Service your events from Enquiry to coordination, including the preparation of proposals, sending of contracts, following up of money and handover to event coordinator
  • Reconcile your own accounts and close folios at post event phase if required
  • Proactively source new sales leads via proactive calling and networking
  • Source and secure group accommodation business from conference & event clients
  • Work closely with the Director of Sales and C& E Sales Manager to develop strategies to attract and convert new business
  • Understand competitor activities and rates/packages and run competitor checks
  • Co-ordinate and undertake hotel familiarisation and site inspections onsite the hotel
  • Attend industry functions and networking events as required
  • Attend tradeshows as required
  • Maintain working relationships with all other company employees to foster and promote a co-operative and harmonious working environment.
  • Live and breathe QT’s values
  • Achieve a minimum conversion rate of 35%
  • Contribute to and meet the overall C& E budget and stretch targets

Partnership and Relationship Building

  • Foster strong relationships with key conference & event partners and corporate clients within allocated area of responsibility.
  • Actively collaborate with other divisions to create a seamless, consistent, positive guest experience.

Sales Operations

  • Work with Operations to ensure the highest Customer Experience (CX) levels, starting with the sales interaction.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date administrative accounts of all sales activity and account information including CRM management and integrity of data.
  • Ensure healthy sales cross selling culture across all brands
