Key Responsibilities

We are currently looking for a Casual CDP to join the kitchen team for the Winter Season at Horizons Lake Jindabyne. The role will be starting in June 2026, with weekly hours starting from 24hrs a week.

• Ensure consistently high-quality food production across all hotel kitchens, following standard recipes and portion control.
• Prepare and present all food items (hot dishes, sauces, pantry items, and special functions) to hotel standards with strong product knowledge.
• Maintain excellent food safety, hygiene, cleanliness, and WH& S compliance across all work areas and storage facilities.
• Monitor, requisition, and protect food products and kitchen equipment in line with hotel policies and procedures.
• Deliver timely completion of duties while maintaining professional grooming and positive teamwork.
• Attend scheduled meetings and perform additional duties as directed by the Executive Chef or Sous Chef.

What You’ll Bring

• 1-2 years’ worth of experience as a CDP in hotels, restaurants, or bistros.
• Experience across different sections including pans, grill and larder.
• Ability to train, guide and mentor junior staff.
• An eye for detail and maintaining product consistency and quality.
• Strong communication skills and a positive, can-do attitude.
• Attention to detail, well-presented and high standards of cleanliness.
• Ability to multitask and perform under pressure, while still delivering a high standard.
