About the Role

As Assistant Night Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth overnight operations of the hotel and delivering a warm, personalised experience for our guests. In addition to managing the roles responsibilities, you will step up to cover the Night Manager’s days off, overseeing all night operations and maintaining the safety and security of guests, staff, and property. You will monitor the performance of the Rooms Division and F& B departments in the absence of their Heads of Department, ensuring service excellence across the hotel. Reporting to the Rooms Division Manager, you will collaborate closely with teams including Housekeeping, Sales & Marketing, Reservations, Maintenance, and F& B to create an exceptional guest experience.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver warm, professional service while efficiently checking guests in and out.
  • Assist with night operations and deliver a warm, personalised welcome experience for guests.
  • Step up to cover Night Manager days off, overseeing all night operations and ensuring safety and security of guests, staff, and property.
  • Monitor and support the performance of Rooms Division and Food & Beverage departments overnight.
  • Collaborate with all hotel departments to maintain service standards and resolve operational issues.
  • Complete accurate night audit tasks and ensure compliance with hotel policies and procedures.
  • Support other departments as needed to ensure smooth overnight operations.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in front office or night audit roles within a hotel environment.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to accurately process guest transactions and complete nightly audit reports.
  • Confident using hotel systems for reservations, payments, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a guest-first approach.
  • Knowledge of hotel policies, WH& S standards, and cashiering procedures.
  • Ability to work independently overnight while leading and motivating teams across multiple departments during overnight shifts.
