Position Overview
AI Search Optimisation Manager - Travel is responsible for ensuring EVT Hotels digital presence is discoverable, accurate, and optimised for AI-driven search engines and large language models (LLMs).
This role leads the strategy and execution of structured data implementation, AI SERP appearance tracking, fluency optimisation of hotel content, and sentiment/review management to maximise direct bookings, brand trust, and guest engagement across EVT’s hotel portfolio. The role is hands-on requiring both analytical and content execution optimised for a changing environment.


Key Accountabilities
AI & Search Strategy

  • Develop and own a Hotel AI Search Optimisation roadmap covering structured data, schema adoption, and LLM visibility.
  • Monitor trends in Google SGE, Bing Copilot, Perplexity, ChatGPT Browse, and emerging AI search platforms to ensure EVT Hotels remains at the forefront of AI discoverability.

Structured Data Management

  • Implement and maintain comprehensive schema.org/JSON-LD markup across all hotel websites (e.g., Hotel, Room, Offer, Review, FAQPage, Event).
  • Partner with Technology and Web teams to deploy automated feeds/APIs for inventory, pricing, and event data to support direct ingestion by AI search.

AI Appearance Tracking & Insights

  • Design and manage a tracking framework to measure EVT Hotels’ citations and visibility across AI search experiences.
  • Report key metrics (cited domain share, citation position, content type cited, query coverage) and recommend actions to improve presence.
  • Provide regular sentiment analysis and insights to General Managers and the Brand team.

Content Optimisation

  • Audit and refine hotel copy to ensure concise, high-quality, and question-oriented content that aligns with LLM retrieval patterns.
  • Develop mini-FAQ libraries for each property (e.g., “Does this hotel have late checkout?”) and ensure optimal HTML structure and semantic clarity.
  • Oversee structured review ingestion and markup (e.g., Review schema).
  • Work with Marketing and Operations teams to increase volume, freshness, and diversity of guest reviews across first party and third-party platforms, create short-form AI optimised content.
  • Create guidelines and training for property marketing teams on AI-era content best practices.


Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years in Technical SEO, structured data, digital marketing, or content strategy; hospitality/travel experience desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of AEO/GEO, SEO practices, content optimisation
  • Strong knowledge of schema.org, JSON-LD, HTML semantics, and AEO, GEO, SEO best practices.
  • Familiarity with AI search platforms (Google SGE, Perplexity, Bing Copilot) and SERP tracking tools (SEMRush, Ahrefs, BrightEdge, etc.).
  • Experience managing cross-functional projects with marketing, tech, and product teams.
