Position Overview
The AI Programme Manager is responsible for driving enterprise-wide adoption, enablement and value realisation from AI capabilities across the organisation. This role leads the coordination and delivery of the AI programme, ensuring appropriate guardrails, governance, and operational processes are in place to enable safe and effective AI use at scale.
The role will work across Entertainment, Hotels, Thredbo & key corporate teams (Risk, Legal, Privacy, Cyber) to ensure the organisation builds capability, drives awareness and training, and delivers prioritised AI initiatives aligned to the organisation’s AI roadmap and strategic direction.

Key Accountabilities
Enterprise AI Adoption & Enablement
- Build and execute an organisational AI adoption plan to increase awareness, confidence and responsible usage of AI tools.
- Design and deliver training pathways for different audiences (executives, managers, frontline teams, specialists).
- Partner with People & Culture to embed AI capability into ongoing learning programmes, hiring frameworks.
- Identify and enable “AI champions” across business units to scale peer-to-peer adoption.
- Develop communications and change assets: guidance, playbooks, FAQs, internal campaigns, and toolkits.
AI Programme & Portfolio Delivery
- Manage the AI programme of work end-to-end: governance, planning, delivery cadence, sequencing and coordination across multiple streams.
- Establish a structured intake and use-case pipeline including prioritisation criteria, value assessment and feasibility.
- Drive delivery of AI initiatives across business units and technology teams, coordinating internal delivery and vendor support where required.
- Maintain an integrated programme plan, delivery reporting, and stakeholder engagement plans.
- Support the ongoing evolution of the AI roadmap in partnership with the Group GM Technology & Digital.
AI Governance, Guardrails & Operating Model
- Establish and operationalise the organisation’s AI governance framework, including:
- AI initiative intake & approvals
- responsible AI principles
- compliance and risk assessment pathways
- model/tool use standards
- data/privacy protections
- vendor due diligence
- Ensure AI initiatives are assessed through appropriate controls and assurance processes while maintaining agility and driving speed-to-value.
- Build and maintain a practical AI playbook including guidance on safe use, prompt hygiene, data classification implications, and acceptable use.
- Create repeatable “how we do AI here” processes to support consistent, scalable delivery.
Stakeholder Engagement & Cross-Functional Leadership
- Act as the central coordination point for AI across IT and the broader business.
- Build strong relationships with leaders across business units to identify opportunities and ensure adoption is aligned to operational needs.
- Partner with Legal, Privacy, and Cyber to ensure guardrails are pragmatic, enabling and aligned to organisational risk appetite.
- Facilitate executive-level reporting and decision forums, ensuring clear visibility of progress, blockers and required decisions.
Benefits Realisation & Value Tracking
- Define benefits measurement frameworks for AI initiatives (quantitative and qualitative).
- Track and report AI value delivered, including productivity improvements, cost savings, customer impact and risk reduction.
- Ensure benefits are tied to business ownership and supported by change enablement.
Skills & Experience
AI Literacy
- Strong working knowledge of AI concepts, including GenAI, copilots, AI assistants, and automation & agents.
- Familiarity with AI implementation considerations: data security, privacy, responsible AI, model risks, and vendor controls.
- Ability to translate business problems into AI use cases and coordinate delivery with technical teams and partners.
Essential Experience
- Strong programme management experience leading cross-functional initiatives across business and technology.
- Demonstrated experience driving adoption and change across large organisations (training, comms, enablement).
- Proven ability to operate within governance/risk frameworks while enabling delivery outcomes.
- Strong stakeholder leadership, including executive engagement, facilitation and influencing without direct authority.
- Experience managing portfolio-level reporting, delivery cadence, and benefits realisation.
