JOB OVERVIEW:

The Digital Marketing Manager is responsible for supporting and executing Mariner’s marketing strategy across the organization. This role combines strategic thinking with hands-on implementation to drive impactful marketing programs that enhance the experience of Mariner’s customers, employees, and potential recruits.

As a marketing generalist, you will lead diverse initiatives including digital marketing, content development, brand management, events, internal communications, and more. You will also serve as a key liaison between internal teams and external partners, ensuring smooth execution and alignment across all marketing efforts.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING IN THE ROLE:

  • Project & Campaign Management
    Lead the coordination and execution of marketing initiatives by developing and maintaining an annual project roadmap. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external vendors, and partners to ensure timely delivery and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Content Creation
    Develop high-quality, engaging content tailored to various channels (e.g., website, email campaigns, social media, internal communications, presentations, sales collateral). This includes writing, editing, and repurposing content for different audiences while maintaining brand voice and tone.
  • Visual Design for Marketing Campaigns
    Create visually compelling assets that align with Mariner’s brand guidelines and enhance the impact of marketing initiatives across digital and print channels. This includes designing graphics for social media (e.g., LinkedIn), HubSpot landing pages, email campaigns, PowerPoint presentations, event collateral, and internal communications.
  • Digital & Social Media Marketing
    Manage and grow Mariner’s digital presence, including oversight of social media channels, email campaigns, and web content. Create and schedule posts, engage with the community, monitor analytics, and optimize content based on performance metrics.
  • Event Planning & Management
    Organize and execute events such as webinars, trade shows, and internal meetings. Responsibilities include identifying goals and requirements, managing logistics, coordinating with stakeholders, and measuring event success.
  • Knowledge Management & Process Improvement
    Document and improve internal marketing workflows, campaign/event playbooks, and asset libraries to support knowledge sharing and team efficiency. Contribute to a culture of continuous learning and process innovation.

WHAT SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS YOU’LL NEED TO DO THE JOB:

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines efficiently
  • Proven collaboration skills and the ability to work cross-functionally
  • Self-starter with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
  • Solid understanding of digital marketing strategies, tools, and metrics
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365 applications, including Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and Planner, with the ability to create polished documents, engaging presentations, and collaborate effectively in a team environment
  • Bachelor’s or diploma in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role preferred (flexible for the right candidate)

Bonus Skills:

  • Experience working in a B2B environment or with professional services/technology sectors
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive content practices
  • Experience with HubSpot and WordPress
  • Familiarity with email marketing, lead generation, and LinkedIn advertising
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics and data interpretation and reporting
  • Knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices and ability to optimize content and campaigns for discoverability, ranking, and performance across search engines
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, or other design tools
  • Video editing experience (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro)
  • Enthusiastic about technology, software, and digital trends, ideally with a personal content portfolio (blog, social media, etc.)
