Job Description: Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Distribution Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Hospital Distribution Technician is vital. You will support Vitalant's life-saving mission by managing the inventory of blood and blood products and facilitate the packaging and shipment to local hospitals and patients. As a Hospital Distribution Technician you'll get to: - Receive, prepare, and ship routing, ASAP and STAT orders of blood and blood products, conducting a visual inspection of each product prior to shipment to ensure order accuracy.
- Professionally and safely deliver products to Vitalant customers in company vehicle.
- Data entry, order processing for hospital blood orders
- Blood inventory management
- Communicate with customers regarding order fulfilment, turnaround times, and product availability.
- Maintain accurate hospital service records for transactions and process fees.
- Monitor all storage requirements, service equipment and vehicle work areas.
- High School diploma or GED required
- Valid in-state driver's license
- Six months of customer service experience required
- Prior healthcare industry experience preferred
- Able to lift 40lbs
