Job Description

Ground Force is hiring a Product & Parts Sales Representative in Albuquerque, NM. This is a full-time position.

Our Albuquerque location has an opening for a Parts & Product Support Representative. The Parts & Product Support Representative (PPSR) is a key figure in helping to keep our customer’s machines productive and efficient by promoting and selling parts, troubleshooting minor customer issues and traveling to site for assessment when necessary. Starting Salary DOE plus commission.

This position is required to effectively work independently while being responsible for coordinating with internal departments, clearly communicating with our customers, processing sales orders, providing framework for costing of jobs and making follow-up calls to the customer on a regular basis. The PPSR is also a decision maker on pricing and discounting structure for special situations that fall outside of the established day-to-day process. PPSR will also make decisions for package orders discounts while performing customer equipment audits.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Manage customer relationships for several key customer accounts regarding parts sales, and product support, while striving for excellent customer service and growth in business by maintaining solid customer relationships.
  2. Empowered to create after-market kit formations and provide innovative solutions while making sound decisions to create the highest level of service for the customers.
  3. Create custom MTO parts by modifying standard material and labor bill of materials.
  4. Perform a variety of duties relevant to promoting and selling “all makes” of parts and service capabilities to customers in all regions. Develop and establish new business while maintaining a positive relationship with current customer base.
  5. Prepare and deliver resale parts and manufactured parts quotes to customers through Epicor/Sage, including recommended spare parts lists from equipment orders. Work with internal departments, using clear communication, to assist with scheduling and production of master-work orders.
  6. Make sales calls on existing and prospective customers; monitor/update call lists and manage customer database within Epicor/Sage as needed.
  7. Work cooperatively with field service team members as needed on manufactured parts installs.
  8. Work with GFW major account managers to provide support and parts lists for equipment orders for all regions.
  9. Request and coordinate prices and lead times from supply chain reps as well as the manufacturing planners.
  10. Use customer and freight forwarder portals as needed for document submission and processing.
  11. Follow up with customers to ensure the company has met their needs and satisfied any necessary issues. Maintain excellent customer relations; look for opportunities to enhance customer relations within scope of the company mission statement.
  12. Continuously expand knowledge base of new products and developments that are relevant to our customers.
  13. Participate in “sales walk-arounds” for your designated regions, take note of build, document final truck build in detail by taking photos.
  14. Sell value through cost-improvement proposals to our customers; understand the competition to maintain the company’s competitive edge.
  15. Work on shop floor for a designated timeframe, once a quarter or as needed to stay current with equipment changes/additions.

Position Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience at Ground Force or 3 years of similar industry experience
  • Ability to create innovative solutions for customer specialized applications and communicate expectations to manufacturing leads.
  • Extensive knowledge of mining related products as well as working knowledge of the mining/mine support equipment product line.
  • A good understanding of all territories and its service needs as well as knowledge of the competition within the area that the company serves.
  • Excellent verbal/written, math, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Date Entry
  • Availability to work during off-hours and weekends to take calls from our customers in emergency situations.
  • Willing and able to travel to domestic and foreign locations as needed. Approx. 15% per year
  • Must possess a valid Class C driver’s license and clean driving record.
