Description:
As a Supply Chain and Productivity Project Specialist (PS), you will be leading through project management practices and tools, the evolution of challenging cost reduction ideas, including (but not limited) to QVE (quality value engineering) and COS (change of supplier) projects within North American region. The PS is in charge to establish for each idea the overall benefits, expenses, total cost of ownership, ensuring technical project feasibility, and consolidating all this information into a formal business case.
The Project Specialist must be an excellent communicator at all levels of the Organization, as he/she will be in charge to present recurrently to Senior Managers, Directors and VPs. He/she needs to be proactive, exhibit strong leadership, self-driven, and be able to adapt to a dynamic and potentially geographically distributed project environment.
The project specialist also innovates and brings cost reduction ideas to the pipeline by participating, preparing and sometimes leading Productivity Workshop Events at North America's Schneider Electric manufacturing facilities.
The Project Specialist gets a wide range of experience working on several products and several commodities as the scope they manage is all North America's business.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications:
- +2 years working on cost reduction or supply chain initiatives in procurement / sourcing
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering
- Strong experience in procurement processes and tools (Total cost ownership, Cost Models, Raw Material Indexation etc), Supplier qualification / selection, request for quotations, negotiation, contract management.
- Experience on presenting to top management levels (Directors, and Vice Presidents).
- Interpretation of engineering specs, drawings, BOM (Bill of Material), cost modeling & inventory volumes.
- Project Management Skills.
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Regional travel in North America can be frequent (15-20%)
Desired Qualifications:
- Training on PMP methodology and / or certified
- Experience on leading a procurement / material productivity project from start to end
- Experience working on electrical or electronic manufacturing industry
- Experience working, implementing and / or leading Agile practices (Scrum Master methodology)
- Experience animating and preparing kaizen events
- Advanced Excel (Managing big databases, capable to create Macros)
- Experience using and/or implementing Change Management methodology
- Experience working directly on the operation of a manufacturing industry
