This position reports into Team Leader National Accounts and is based at Monterrey, Nuevo León.

What you will do

The Key Account Manager is responsible for scheduling appointments, meeting with customers, expanding market share, resolving customer complaints, developing sales strategies, and analyzing sales performance:

• Develop and maintain annual Joint Business Plans (JBP) for each client, aligned with company objectives to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

• Negotiate commercial terms, promotions, product launches, and key agreements with clients.

• Manage the commercial budget, including bonuses, discounts, and promotions.

• Analyze sales, margins, inventory, and performance by SKU and category to identify areas for improvement and optimize sales performance.

• Ensure proper execution at the point of sale in coordination with trade marketing and field operations.

• Monitor and optimize fill rates, returns, and product expirations.

• Coordinate innovation initiatives, seasonal promotions, and special displays with each retail chain.

• Maintain constant communication with buyers and key areas of retailers to address issues or concerns in a timely and professional manner.

• Lead the collection process and follow up on purchase orders and invoicing.

• Identify growth opportunities in assortment, geographical coverage, and new channels within the retail chain.

• Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify potential threats and opportunities for key accounts.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions to meet the unique needs of key accounts.

• Develop sales strategies for new products and explore new market opportunities.

• Study and adjust territory coverage plans to meet sales objectives.

• Coach and mentor sales staff to achieve sales goals.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field

• 6-8 years of experience in account management or sales, preferably in a key account management role

• Minimum of 6-8 years of proven working experience in sales and business development

• University/Bachelors Degree or Equivalent in Business or related field

• Proven track record of successfully managing key accounts and driving revenue growth

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively build and maintain relationships with key clients

• Experience in negotiating and closing sales orders

• Strong understanding of the full sales cycle and customer relationship management

Desired Qualifications

• Ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions to meet the needs of key accounts

• Ability to analyze sales performance against objectives and adjust focus to achieve goals

• Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams and implementing new technologies to maximize sales efficiency

• Experience working with Oxxo and HEB
