Job DescriptionLayout Designer JR. is the responsible to do and ensure the correct execution of AutoCAD drafting of all layers of all new and existing AutoZone store prototypes, as well as supervising the correct maintaining and updating current prototypes, including fixture layer, text layer, dimensional layers and reset projects as well as uploading on time the correct FOG line list for new stores. Audits and modifies existing AutoZone store prototype layouts based on changes made by Store Operations as well as generate new proposal prototypes working with the different AutoZone departments. Documents changes appropriately across functional areas on AutoZone store layout for the set-up department and store operations as required.
Responsibilities- Support the execution of the complete process of new stores where it involves:
-Clone planograms in system
-Ensure the correct load in the Flexogram system
-Prepare final Layout proposal based on shared building by pre-construction
-Generate and send Download of fixtures with final Layout and cloned store
-Generate Layouts in PDF for the Set Up team for the correct assembly of the store
-Ensure the correct printing and sending of planograms, labels, signage walk and Layouts of new stores - Execute Reset projects in conjunction with the Process Improvement area where it involves:
-Propose the new layout according to the needs of each store based on racks with the feedback provided by Process Improvement (Racks with poor quality, lack of additional fixtures, lack of correct implementation in categories, etc.)
-Generate and send Download of fixtures to determine the date of joint implementation of the Fixtures and Set Up area
-Ensure the correct implementation of each project in conjunction with the Set Up area
-Publish updated Layouts - Update store layouts, ensuring the updating and publication of layouts in planograms, flexograms and floor displays based on the needs of the Merchandise area (Line Reviews, Quick Fix, Tests, Clusters, etc.) in addition to ensuring the Layouts update of all HUBs/MegaHub based on location codes
- Builds, develops and designs an original and correct merchandising (FOG), based on a preliminary review of the categories, which involves details of the situation of the market vs category in AZ Mexico, such as: inventory, space optimation, developing fixtures, resolution of specific oportunitis of space and managment of the categories, location of the category within the back store and adjacent of the categories. Manages and secures, the sku count per store keeping away from space problems, Mainframe and Shelftag maintenance, the correct implementation of flexograms, description tag, schematics, propose of new sequence, calculate store labor hours, and other key elements that allows an accurate communication to the stores (elavorating and loading ZAP Format to the stores); by doing this the Operations team can perform a proper implementation of the project.
Performs some other tasks and key projects assigned by the Manager, such as periodical visits to stores to verify the integrity of layouts and flexograms opportunities in order to improve the space allocation, effective communication with the related teams such as Operations, Assorment, Costuction, Fixtures, etc. continue improving processes for AZ Mexico, New Stores Set Up, Resets, etc.
Qualifications- A Bachelor's degree (BA, BS) or equivalent.
- Industrial Design, Engineering, Architect
- One to two years.
- Store Layouts, Project management, Retail, Fixtures, Merchandising, Space and Visual Design, sensitivity to the organization's needs.
