Job Description

Management of the legal real estate process, including all supporting transactions and due diligence required for new and existing stores. It is also responsible for the legal property management function required to guarantee business continuity and efficient operations of the Mexico business units. The position will work in conjunction with MX Store Development to oversee the lifespan of real estate development and construction projects, ensuring Compliance and Corporate Governance requirements are met throughout all stages of the projects. Additionally, it oversees, along with Compliance, all FCPA and anticorruption issues. Manages litigation processes (non-labor) and provides legal advice in all criminal cases that arise in the company.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, draft and/or review documents relating to real estate transactions including, but not limited to: New Store projects, Excess property dispositions, Purchase agreements, Lease agreements, Non-binding and binding LOI's, Build-to-suit agreements, Ground Leases, Turnkey leases, Common Use Agreements, Site Development Agreements, Geotechnical, Environmental and Due Diligence Service Agreements, Lump Sum Construction Agreements, and Brokerage Agreements.
• Manage, supervise and control all legal Property Management related activities to ensure business continuity, including contract renewal negotiations, contract drafting, notification letters, resolve conflicts with third parties (landlord and tenants).
• Coordinate, manage and assist Escrow Specialist and Jr Attorney in their responsibilities, and reviewing and supervising expense vs budget.
• Manage and supervise all litigation matters (non-labor)
• Manage FCPA and anticorruption issues and provide training to the organization.

Qualifications

• A Master's degree (MA, MS, MBA) or equivalent.
• legal
• Five to seven years.
• Legal specialized in Real Estate, litigation, FCPA and compliance matters
• Real Estate/Contracts. Communication and Managing Skills; High level of knowledage about current laws and regulations.
• English 100%; Available for travel. High managerial skills and performance under pressure.
