Salary Range: $110.00 - $115.00 Hourly
Tunneling EngineerUrban Engineers is seeking qualified individuals to join the PMO Department as a part-time/as-needed Tunneling Engineer. This position will provide tunnel engineering expertise in the oversight of FTA-funded major capital transit projects.
Responsibilities - Review project sponsor's plans pertaining to tunneling work.
- Serves as a technical resource and subject matter expert in tunneling engineering aspects of transit projects.
Requirements :
- Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET Accredited School Program.
- Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) in the United States is required.
- Minimum 10 years of experience as a Tunnel Engineer with 3 years either serving as Senior Tunnel Engineer of Project Manager.
- Experience with tunnel construction in hard and soft rock and soil conditions.
- In-depth knowledge of NATM and TBM excavation techniques.
- Knowledge of trenchless construction.
- Strong design and analytical experience in the field of tunnel/geotechnical/structural
- design.
