SUMMARY

Provides reporting, analysis, and operational support for the Sales Group, including the Field Operations, Training, and Subaru Added Security (SAS) divisions. Works closely with the Sr. Vice President of Sales and the VP of Field and Distributor Operations to deliver insights, reporting, and communications that support sales performance and key initiatives.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Creates and modifies reports using the following systems/sites: Subaru's reporting system, Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI), and other sources of information including retailer financial statements, vehicle registration data from Experian Velocity, J.D. Power, Power Information Network (PIN) Data, Urban Science, and Power BI.
  • Independently analyzes and compiles sales data into reports for use by Subaru of America (SOA) officers and directors, corporate staff, and the field organization to achieve business plans.
  • Develops a monthly vehicle sales tempo and equitably distributes sales targets to drive results.
  • Translate relevant business data and analysis into effective presentations for the Sr. Vice President (VP) of Sales, VP of Field and Distributor Operations, and Field Operations Manager.
  • Identifies opportunities to minimize redundant processes, implement automation, and improve reporting that will impact the productivity of the field organization.
  • Supports ad hoc company sales data requests and reporting needs related to Public Relations (PR), Added Security, MySubaru, and Training programs.
  • Produces a litany of accurate reports including Daily Sales, Sales Projection Reports, Estimates, and Competitive Snapshot.
  • Develops and tracks retailer and field bonus and contest programs including proposing key performance indicators (KPIs) and targets to meet budget guidelines while achieving business plans.
  • Serves as primary liaison with field staff to address issues with respect to business processes or incentives with the appropriate SOA department.
  • Works cross-functionally with Information Technology (IT), Accounting, Retailer Development, and Distribution on a variety of programs and meetings.
  • Oversees event planning and execution, alongside manager, for annual companywide conferences (such as National Training Conference [NTC] and National Business Conference [NBC]) as well as more targeted meetings (such as Regional organizational meetings), including serving as on-the-ground support and fulfilling day-to-day planning and administration of the events and activities.
  • In addition to the listed Primary Responsibilities, the Analyst that supports the Sales Group also:
    • Tracks and communicates sales results, future sales goals, and current market conditions for the Sr. VP of Sales.
    • Responds to ad hoc requests from Sr. VP of Sales related to projects and operations in Field Operations, Added Security, MySubaru, Training programs, and other Sales functions.


ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Performs administrative tasks, such as Accounts Payable (A/P) processing and resolving IT-related issues, on occasion.
  • Administers pool cars by utilizing Fleetio.
  • Mentors interns during their one-year term.


REQUIRED SKILLS & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS
  • Strong knowledge in the use of Oracle Business Intelligence (OBI) and Power BI and familiarity with data retrieval from Experian Velocity, J.D. Power, Power Information Network (PIN) Data, and Urban Science as well as interpretation of vehicle registration and retailer financial statements.
  • Superior analytical skills.
  • High levels of motivation.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills, including ability to create PowerPoint presentations for Subaru of America (SOA) executives.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects at once.
  • Knowledge of and interest to learn more about Subaru and U.S. automobile industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work beyond the normal business day on a monthly basis to support the sales close and other business priorities.
  • Interest in working closely with the field organization and retailers.
  • A driver's license and approval to become a 'Subaru Authorized Driver' is required.


EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: BA/ BS with 4 - 6 years of progressive experience required.

WORK EXPERIENCE
  • Office Location: Camden, NJ apart of the Greater Philadelphia Area (Philly)
  • Required Travel: 10%


COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $72, 000 - $92, 000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: P2)
