SUMMARY Supports Subaru's mission to be one of the best places to work, with a focus on fostering a culture of inclusion and belonging for all. Coordinates and implements initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience across the company and supporting the Human Resources (HR) Leadership Team.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES - Contributes to Subaru's employee engagement strategy and communication plan. Coordinates stakeholder meetings with the Employee Experience team. Actively seeks new, effective opportunities to improve the workplace experience for employees.
- Engagement Survey:
- Administers survey process, which includes defining target audiences and setting up data and question sets.
- Analyzes metrics and key indicators around employee engagement through survey administration and other engagement initiatives. Reviews employee feedback to provide recommendations for enhancing workplace culture.
- Provides input into vendor evaluation, serves as point person for vendor with development of survey, and supports the configuration of survey system.
- Works with manager on the establishment of the company timeline for both larger employee experience surveys and pulse surveys as well as the communication plan and messaging to employees. Partners with organization leaders (Operations Team, Associate Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging [DEIB], and Human Resources Business Partners [HRBPs]) to design and execute action plans.
- Continually evaluates performance of vendor and continually gathers industry best practices surrounding employee experience. Makes recommendations for process improvements or policy changes.
- Supports the development of a people data strategy in partnership with Information Technology (IT) and HR Operations.
- Culture & Inclusion in the Workplace:
- Implements culture and inclusion initiatives aimed at fostering a sense of belonging for all employees. Guided by our Love Promise, works with the Associate Director to develop, implement, and oversee programs and strategies that support inclusion and belonging throughout the organization. This includes:
- Providing operational support for the Employee Resource Groups (ERGs),
- Serving as administrator of the DEIB/ERG employee communication platform (e.g. Benevity),
- Publishing monthly newsletters,
- Implementing culture and inclusion learning programs (e.g. Ted@Work, Japanese Immersion, LinkedIn Learning paths, etc.), and supporting the company's employee recognition programs.
- Collaborates with the executive team to support and enhance the overall employee experience. By working closely with leadership, drives initiatives that improve employee engagement, satisfaction, and well-being which ensures a positive and productive work environment that aligns with the company's goals and values.
- Coordinates the logistics of HR's presence at internal business meetings, including concepting, activation planning, deck preparation, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Provides input to agency partners on the creative portions of the plans/presentations.
- Ensures seamless day-of coordination at the meeting and partners with the team to ensure that the plans are well executed and that there is a cohesive thread among all Centers of Excellence (COEs) and booths.
- Initiates post-event follow ups, surveys, and recaps to provide insights into continuous improvement in how we support employees and the business units at these meetings (e.g. National Training Conference [NTC], Aftersales Business Conference [ABC], National Business Conference [NBC], Org Meetings, HeartFelt Summit).
- Partners with HR's cross-functional stakeholders to identify and implement ideas or initiatives focused on inclusion and belonging or improving employee experience, including Corporate Communications, Legal and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Leadership Team, Subaru's Meetings Team, etc.
- Ensures that HR vendor partner relationships are delivering on service level agreements (SLAs) as outlined within project timelines.
- Optimizes the exit survey process by regularly analyzing and interpreting exit survey data to provide actionable insights that contribute to the enhancement of the company's workplace culture. Collaborates with HR, Legal, leadership teams, and cross-functional departments to identify key trends, challenges, and opportunities based on employee feedback.
- Advises and coordinates with Creative Garage for employee experience content/material needs.
- Partners with Talent Acquisition on external employer promotion (Subaru's LinkedIn profile, #LifeatSubaru) and supports new hire onboarding with content updates and presenting at events.
- Administers and tracks the usage of HR (DEIB) vehicle. Ensures that vehicle is up to date on service maintenance, fuel, etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS & PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS - Educational and Professional Experience: Bachelor's degree or an equivalent of six (6) or more years of relevant work experience. A minimum of four (4) to six (6) years in business, communications, or public relations preferred.
- Experience maintaining strict confidentiality of data and information.
- Strong project management and multi-tasking skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially in creating engaging decks/presentations.
- Strong interpersonal, writing, and presentation skills.
- Ability to effectively work with all levels of the organization, including executive team.
- Strong team player.
- Adept at building relationships.
- Creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of the automotive industry, field operations, retailer (dealership) operations, or experience related to these areas.
WORK ENVIRONMENT - Hybrid Role: Remote work 2 days per week (After 90 Days Onboarding)

COMPENSATION: The recruiting base salary range for this full-time position is $83800 - $115000 / year. Within the range, individual pay is determined by factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Additionally, this role is
bonus-eligible, with a target bonus percentage that provides an opportunity to earn even more based on your performance. (Internal Job Grade: P3)
