Job Description
Stewart & Stevenson Power Products LLC is hiring a Tech I - PM Field Service in Lodi, NJ. This is a full-time position.
Overview
Responsible for performing preventative maintenance at the customer's place of business on customer's power generation equipment, including diesel engine maintenance, oil changes, and voltage output measurements.
This position is a Union position. Employees are required to join IUOE Local 15C after 90 days of employment. All benefits provided by IUOE Local 15C.
Pay Rates:
Tech I - $39.71 per hour
Employees with a CDL earn an additional $0.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
• Identify and order parts necessary to complete routine maintenance.
• Perform preventative maintenance on equipment according to established guidelines and schedules.
• Complete all work orders and time sheets in a legible, accurate and timely manner.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.

Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED, Technical degree a plus
- One to two years related experience with diesel engines, standby generators, and controls
- Clean driving record and valid Driver’s License required.
- Experience with mtu, Volvo Penta highly desired, but not required
SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Basic computer navigation and utilization skills
- Ability to utilize laptop and portable diagnostic tools required.
- Experience with Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel)
- Able to work independently in a safe and efficient manner
- Ability to utilize the available time to organize and complete work within given deadlines
- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
- Motivated and reliable with strong work ethic, cooperative team member
